Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Our offices are closed in observation of the Easter weekend. We will resume regular schedule on Monday, April 13. Have a blessed and meaningful Easter holiday.
One of my absolute favorite holidays is approaching and I’m looking forward to it. As a Christian, I absolutely love Easter. I also really love springtime. Easter is important because it celebrates the death and resurrection of my Risen Savior Jesus Christ, but it also represents a time of renewal and rebirth.
I love crafting and creating pretty things, but even more so, I love sharing those things with others. I haven’t had much time to create anything lately, so I decided to share some of my current favorite Pin-spirations.
How easy would this be? You’d only need some pretty scrapbook paper, some twine, pom-poms, and a little glue. I think this is just adorable and I’d love to put it on my fireplace!
This old rugged cross wreath is so simple and beautiful…and best of all, it represents the true meaning of Easter. I’d hang this above my mantle or maybe on a mirror like this blogger did. I cannot wait to make this.
Today is one of the most significant days in the Christian calendar- Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday marks Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem, when people crowded the streets and lay palm branches in his path. It marks the beginning of the Holy Week. As Christians, we know that the following Thursday, Jesus was arrested. He was crucified the following day on Good Friday, and rose again three days later.
The following verses from John 12:12-19 explain the scene on Palm Sunday:
12 The next day the large crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem.13 So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!”14 And Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written,
15 “Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey’s colt!”
16 His disciples did not understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written about him and had been done to him.17 The crowd that had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to bear witness.18 The reason why the crowd went to meet him was that they heard he had done this sign.19 So the Pharisees said to one another, “You see that you are gaining nothing. Look, the world has gone after him.”
Today, I plan to spend time reflecting on the coming week. What do I need to do to prepare my heart for Easter Sunday? What does God want to do in my life this week?
Each year, I struggle with what to get my children for Valentine’s Day and Easter. Those two holidays come with a lot of merchandise, but sadly, a lot of that merchandise includes sugary treats. Almost every year, I’ve been able to find a small gift that my girls loved and didn’t cause tooth decay.
Today’s Pinterest roundup includes all sorts of cute Easter ideas your kiddos are sure to love.
If your little kiddo loves to bake, why not surprise him or her with a basket filled with measuring spoons, cupcake wraps, and other baking goodies? My oldest daughter would love this.
For the little creator in your life. You could fill any basket with paints, markers, coloring books, notepads or journals, pencils or colorful pens…the list goes on. I know so many kids who would love this.
If you’re the mother of a girly girl, look no further than this cute little basket. This beauty basket has pedicure toe spacers, a hairbrush, hairbows, nail polish, lip gloss, lotion, bath bombs and a loofah. My oldest daughter would absolutely love this.
This basket is filled to the brim with outdoor toys. There’s a ball, frisbee, jump rope, pail and shovel, a kite, and more. This would be perfect for a young child. My youngest daughter would love it.
I hope you have gotten some great ideas for Easter! Have a wonderful weekend.
