Five Friday Favorites: Summer Beauty

I definitely feel rested and recharged after my break from blogging, and I am excited about all the new content I will be creating. I have always worn just a little makeup and haven’t been really good at applying it. This summer, I’ve been trying to learn how to put it on. I still don’t know how to use an eyelash curler, though (haha).

1. OGX Coffee scrub and wash

This scrub makes your skin soft and it smells amazing! At less than $7 a bottle, the price is pretty nice, too. You can get it here.

2. Briogeo Farewell Frizz leave in conditioner

Summer in the South is a hot and humid time, and if your hair is wavy or curly like mine, there will be frizz. This stuff is a bit pricey, but a little bit goes a long way and it will last awhile if you use it sparingly. Get your own bottle here.

3. Acure Daily Workout shampoo

If you exercise or shower twice a day due to the heat, you probably don’t want to dry out your hair. I wash with my regular shampoo and conditioner once a day, and then use this and the leave in conditioner after exercising. This shampoo smells great and gets my hair clean without drying it out and making it brittle. Click here to order your own bottle.

4. Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer with sunscreen

I typically wear foundation with sunscreen, but during the summer, I don’t usually wear makeup unless I’m going to church. This moisturizer is lightweight without feeling greasy and still protects my face from the sun. Order it here.

5. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick, Pink in the afternoon

Rumor has it this is the exact shade worn by Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” I love it because it’s a pretty pink, not too bright, but a simple pop of color. Try it for yourself here.
