Our Christmas Mantle

Our Christmas mantle is simple and contains some of my favorite Christmas decorations in our home. Before we talk about the mantle decor, let’s talk about the mantle. We purchased an antique mantle from some friends at our former church. We wanted to make it look like a real fireplace and make a blank, boring wall more interesting. My husband and I built a hearth and a firebox onto the antique mantle. We love it and we are glad we did it.

We purchased this heater insert recently as an early Christmas present to ourselves. It blows out some great heat and it looks beautiful. It also makes the room seem so cozy.

Doesn’t everyone need a cute little rustic tree on their hearth? I believe so.
These pretty needlepoint stockings came from LL Bean and we love them. They remind me of old fashioned stockings.
I love red, and this red Christmas ball garland from Hobby Lobby ties our mantle together beautifully. I also have a red berry and greenery arrangement in a milk glass vase.
This red battery lantern from a local shop adds a warm glow to the top of our mantle.
These lighted zinc houses and this sign make me smile every time I see them.
The wooden candle sticks are a DIY.

Show me your lovely Christmas fire places!

And, have a wonderful Wednesday.
