Good Sunday morning to you! It has definitely been a minute since I have posted. In fact, you may notice a few changes around here, but I think you will like them. We took some much needed time off to focus on our family and spending time together. I am now at a place where I feel I can focus on our blog and podcast without feeling like I am simply going through the motions.
I started this blog some time ago to share organizing tips. I am still interested in doing this, but I don’t want that to be my only focus. I want to be able to be a real person- not a curated person who just shows you the perfection, but a person who shows you the good, the bad, and the hideous. Not everything makes the highlight reel, and that’s ok.
My challenge to you this August is to spend a small amount of time each day pausing and enjoying your surroundings. For example, I have always enjoyed photography. I’m by no means good at it, but it brings me joy. Lately, I’ve tried to photograph something each week that makes me smile. Today, I’d like to share them with you.

My husband and I planted this angelonia around our lamp post. I love it because the bumblebees and the butterflies love it, and they’re constantly visiting. The colors are very vibrant as well.

My grandfather always grew sunflowers in his gardens, so now I do it, too, as a tribute to him. I have enjoyed watching them grow so tall this season. Now, if I could just get the deer to leave them alone.

Speaking of deer, we have a ton of them around here. This season, we have doe with twin fawns and a young spike buck who like to visit us regularly. We love watching the babies grow.

The Lord has really blessed our garden this year. We’ve had a long season filled with tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and squash. We have had some delicious meals this year.
I truly hope you have a blessed week.
