Saturday Smiles: my youngest daughter

My oldest daughter spent the night with a friend Friday night, so we decided our youngest daughter who is 8 needed a bit of undivided mama and daddy attention.

She’s becoming quite the reader, and has recently acquired her own public library card. We had two books checked out that were due for return, so we popped into our local branch after school. She checked out four books in her new favorite series The Unicorn Diaries.

Then, we visited two of our favorite downtown shops, where Aubrey spent some Christmas money on some earrings, a cute puffer vest and a pair of jeans.

Then, her dad and I let her choose our dinner, and she chose Alpaca Peruvian Chicken, followed by Boba Tea for dessert. I had read a lot about Popshelf, and there was a store nearby. We decided to check it out- I was amazed by how many neat things I found there. That store has so many pretty things and the prices are not bad at all.

My shopping buddy helped me scan our purchases at the self checkout.

We had a ton of things we could have done at home, but we spent the evening pouring into our littlest lady and I’m glad we did. Now, we are off to snuggle up and read a book together.

Have a wonderful weekend.
