Make something Monday: shabby chic nursery lampshade

This post is a throwback to when I was decorating my youngest child’s nursery. She is now seven, and I still miss this cute little nursery. We had a very limited budget, so we made a lot of her decor ourselves. I remember wanting a lamp similar to this one:

This lamp was crazy expensive, so I had to come up with a good solution. I went to my local big box store and I bought this:

One hot glue gun, several glue sticks, and about four rolls of ribbon later, I made this.

It was easy and cute, and I fell in love with it. In fact, I am thinking of making another one.
