Mother’s Day is right around the corner. While the more traditional gifts such as pearls and flowers are beautiful and well-loved, your mom may want something a little more original this year. If the idea of making something yourself sounds scary and impossible, fear not. I have five ideas that are inexpensive and easy that your mother will love.

1. Burlap-framed print

All you need are some old picture frames, some 8×10 burlap sheets, a printer and a graphic from The Graphics Fairy or WeddingChics.com (this is where I got mine).

2. Farmhouse picture frames…with a sweet memory inside

Moms absolutely love pictures and memories- why not make one of these upcycled Dollar Tree frames and slide a sweet, memorable photo inside? It’s the perfect gift with a lot of thought that doesn’t require much time or money. You can read about how to make one here.

3. DIY rustic coat rack

If your mom loves farmhouse style and rustic decor, look no further than this easy-to-make and very useful rustic coat rack. It’s made from a stained wood plank and antique door knobs. You can read about how to make one right here.

4. Upcycled basket planter

Do you have some old, unwanted baskets lying around? If you do, you can grab some faux plants and chalk paint, and make an absolutely adorable planter. Learn more about it here!

5. DIY Fixer Upper Inspired Wood Sign

If your mom is a huge fan of Chip and Jo, chances are really good she will love this wood sign. You can totally customize it however you like- a quote, a word, or a Bible verse that is important to your mom.You have so many possibilities. Click here to learn how I made this sign.

Have a wonderful Monday! I hope you got some great ideas for spoiling your mother this Mother’s Day.
