Christmas Day Trips: Denton Farm Park

In central North Carolina, Denton FarmPark is known for being the home of the Southeast Threshers Reunion and many music concerts. Did you know they are also home to a pretty fantastic Christmas event each year?

At Denton Farm Park each December (and late November), you can meet Santa and Mrs Clause (see above) and take pictures with them.

You can see the Christmas lights and ride on the Country Christmas Train. My kids love this and I’d definitely recommend it.

You can visit the historic stores and businesses along the main road. There is a general store, a grist mill and a beautiful little church. You can purchase craft items, food and drink.

You can also visit a historic homestead, which I absolutely love. There is a home to tour, a kitchen cabin demonstration and a candle making demonstration.

We recommend going to Denton Farm Park on a weekday evening, as the crowds will be a bit thinner. The lines are a lot longer on the weekends.

If you live in or near central North Carolina, you should definitely go visit Denton FarmPark.

I’m Angi. Let’s be friends!

Welcome to Lumber in my Minivan, a blog about adventures, (and sometimes MISadventures), in parenting, DIY, and home life. I’m a Christian, a wife, a mother of two daughters, a teacher, a southerner, an amateur farmer and woodworker, a coffee lover, and an animal lover. Life without music is pointless and outside is my favorite place to be. I’m so glad you stopped by- pour yourself a large cup of coffee, put your feet up, and stay awhile!

I’d love to connect with you!
