Happy Sunday to you- I hope your week is off to an amazing start.
This morning, when I woke up, I was a little disappointed to see that it is raining. We’ve truly had a lot of rain lately and I really love to see the sunshine. Then, I quickly thought about how all of the dry summers when I hoped and prayed for rain. It was quite a great reminder.
One positive to all of the rain is that our garden has really taken off- something that definitely does not happen when things are more dry. The grass is green and while the ever-present humidity is still there, the temperatures are lower. All of these are blessings that come from the rain.
If you follow me on social media, you may have seen my “wordful Wednesday” post this week- one of my favorite Bible verses is Psalm 61:2: “when my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the Rock that is higher than I.”
We’ve all been overwhelmed, right? I’m overwhelmed on a regular basis. I am slowly, but surely learning to trust in God instead of wallowing in my state of chaos. After all, God provides for us, no matter the circumstance.
Just like when he provides rain we didn’t know we needed.
