Saturday Smiles: spring break recap

Last week, we celebrated OUR spring break. I say “our,” because this is the first year we have been on entirely the same schedule and had the same days off. We used it to our advantage.

First, we celebrated my husband and brother-in-law’s birthdays (yes, they are twins). We had a cookout at my in-law’s house and had a lot of fun.

We also spent our spring break doing some cleaning out, and even a little fishing.

We also looked for turtles in the pond- these guys are always around.

We ended our week at the Revel Dance Competition in Charlotte. Both girls performed well, and the girls had more than one number to get judges’ awards. Both of their solos scored higher than their scores last year.

I also experimented with saving money by cooking a lot of our own food in the hotel room- more about that later.

What made you smile recently?

I’m Angi. Let’s be friends!

Welcome to Lumber in my Minivan, a blog about adventures, (and sometimes MISadventures), in parenting, DIY, and home life. I’m a Christian, a wife, a mother of two daughters, a teacher, a southerner, an amateur farmer and woodworker, a coffee lover, and an animal lover. Life without music is pointless and outside is my favorite place to be. I’m so glad you stopped by- pour yourself a large cup of coffee, put your feet up, and stay awhile!

I’d love to connect with you!
