Housework Wednesday: Mudroom organization

Our mudroom is also our laundry room.

We are trying to keep our house as clean and organized as possible this school year. We have decided to store our book bags and lunch boxes in the mudroom each day after school.

I got these shelves from my mom, who was throwing them away.

We decided since there are four members of our family, we would use the shelves like lockers and we’d each get one. The other bins hold cleaning and utility supplies.

We put our book bags on the bottom shelf, and our lunch boxes above them. We are utilizing a similar set up in the garage for storing gym bags and dance bags, but more on that later.

We will update this room frequently as the school year unfolds, so you may want to stay tuned.
