Sunday Smiles: Sunday Night Self-Care

Happy back-to-school season, everyone! I hope everyone has had a restful and fun summer. My principal asked us this week if any of us ever get the “Sunday scaries.” I have to admit, even as a veteran teacher (16 years this year!) I still get them.

Some ways to combat the Sunday scaries is to create a self-care routine. It doesn’t have to be a big deal- in fact, just taking a hot bath or using a face mask counts. It doesn’t even have to involve beauty. You could take a walk, do yoga, read a book, or simply just rest. It doesn’t even have to be Sunday- you can do something to care for yourself literally every day if you want.

Self-care looks different for different people. I am trying to take better care of my skin, so on Sunday and Thursday nights, I use a face mask, a hair mask, and exfoliate my skin. None of it is a big deal, but it does make me feel better.

This school year, let’s all practice a little self-care. We all deserve it.

I’m Angi. Let’s be friends!

Welcome to Lumber in my Minivan, a blog about adventures, (and sometimes MISadventures), in parenting, DIY, and home life. I’m a Christian, a wife, a mother of two daughters, a teacher, a southerner, an amateur farmer and woodworker, a coffee lover, and an animal lover. Life without music is pointless and outside is my favorite place to be. I’m so glad you stopped by- pour yourself a large cup of coffee, put your feet up, and stay awhile!

I’d love to connect with you!
