Sunday Smiles

Fishing at dusk

Happy Sunday! For some of us, this is a truly eventful week. I begin my sixteenth year in education this week and my children will begin eighth grade and third grade. I appreciate your prayers this week as we adjust to “coming back to the real world” after summer break. I’ll soon share our “summer recap;” it was a short but fun and eventful summer.

Centrikid Camp

Recently, I had the opportunity to attend Centrikid camp with our youngest daughter and our church. We took a group of three adults and five kids to camp for a week, and it was a great experience. I enjoyed it as much as the kids. I’m very thankful that our church pours so much time and teaching into our young people. We are incredibly blessed to be a part of such a loving body of believers.

Final days of summer

Since we came home, we’ve been hyper-preparing for the new school year, and soaking up the final moments of summer. These sweet animals have been glued to our sides.

Verse of the day

I don’t know if you guys have the YouVersion Bible app, but I’m enjoying it a lot. They send you a verse of the day, and you can customize your own Bible reading plans. There is both a paid version and a free version of the app.

I hope your week is blessed and beautiful.

I’m Angi. Let’s be friends!

Welcome to Lumber in my Minivan, a blog about adventures, (and sometimes MISadventures), in parenting, DIY, and home life. I’m a Christian, a wife, a mother of two daughters, a teacher, a southerner, an amateur farmer and woodworker, a coffee lover, and an animal lover. Life without music is pointless and outside is my favorite place to be. I’m so glad you stopped by- pour yourself a large cup of coffee, put your feet up, and stay awhile!

I’d love to connect with you!
