Don’t sleep on the Dollar Tree. Not only do they have really cute and useful things, but they also have a lot of items that are similar to things found at high-end stores. Here are a few things I found while browsing recently.

The basket on the left is $3 at the Dollar Tree, while the Crate and Barrel version is $80-$150. They’re not exactly alike and the DT version is smaller, but you can still get basically the same concept for a lot less.

Again, these are not an exact match, but they’re close. The plates on the left are $1.50 each at DT, while the ones on the right are $56 for 4 at Pottery Barn. I love these plates- they’re so simple and elegant.

The picture on the left is a plain white plate for $1.25 each at Dollar Tree, and the plates on the right are $28 for a set of 4.

These DT candlesticks on the left are $1.25 each and the similar looking ones on the right will cost you a cool $25-$35 dollars. They’re not an exact match, but really close.

Finding high-end dupes in cheap stores is kind of my new hobby, so I’ll be checking the store and posting my finds periodically.
