Good Wednesday morning to you! I apologize for the late posting this week, but we have been swamped. No worries, though. We will get back on track next week.

I am still working on embodying my 2024 word of the year: transform. Last week, I talked about transforming my spiritual life and making transformations there by diving into The Word of God each day. Today, I want to talk about transforming my finances by living and spending intentionally. One way to do this is to buy less, but to try to repurpose or remake things you already have.

Patio and outdoor furniture can be extremely expensive. If your furniture is in good shape, try giving it a fresh coat of paint instead of replacing it. You can also spruce up your furniture with new cushions or by re-decorating your patio/porch with some small accessories. For some tips and tricks for spray painting your furniture, check out this post here.

2. Repurpose your “trash”

There are so many great things you can make from repurposed cardboard. These closet organizer boxes are made from old diaper boxes covered with fabric. You could also use cardboard shipping boxes. There are some other ideas for reusing cardboard in this post as well.

3. Repurposing glassware

I made these bathroom storage canisters from pickle jars. You can do so much with empty glass jars.

4. Junk drawer crafts

You would be surprised what you can make from every day things that are lying around your home. Shoeboxes can be used to make so many things.

What have you upcycled lately?
