Take better Christmas morning pictures

We take a lot of pictures in our family, and while we are far from professionals, I think our pictures have definitely improved. Today, I’d like to share some of our tips and tricks for taking wonderful Christmas morning pictures.

1. Use a tripod

Don’t depend on someone to have to hold the camera. Set up a tripod and have the camera focused and ready. Take a few test shots to make sure your camera is focused where you want.

2. Wrap a large cardboard box in wrapping paper

You need a large trash can to curb the wrapping paper trash, but a trash can looks so bad in your picture. Take a large cardboard box instead and wrap it in wrapping paper. Then, it just looks like a giant gift and no one will know.

3. Streamline your outfit choices

You don’t have to go all out with matching PJs, but having coordinating colors makes your pictures look better. You don’t even have to match 🙂

4. Take a lot of pictures

Don’t just take a few photos. Take several- the more photos you take, the more good ones you are going to get, right?

What are some of your favorite Christmas morning photo ideas?

I’m Angi. Let’s be friends!

Welcome to Lumber in my Minivan, a blog about adventures, (and sometimes MISadventures), in parenting, DIY, and home life. I’m a Christian, a wife, a mother of two daughters, a teacher, a southerner, an amateur farmer and woodworker, a coffee lover, and an animal lover. Life without music is pointless and outside is my favorite place to be. I’m so glad you stopped by- pour yourself a large cup of coffee, put your feet up, and stay awhile!

I’d love to connect with you!
