Veteran’s Day

lest we forget

Today is not just a day off work. It’s not a three day weekend, or an excuse to have cookouts and tailgate. Today is for celebrating our military personnel, both past and present.

Celebrate with parties, cookouts, or fireworks if you must, but remember that today is about the selfless sacrifices of many people on our behalf, for our benefit. As you spend time celebrating and being thankful for our military ladies and gentlemen today, remember to pay it forward and do something unexpectedly kind for someone else today.

Happy Veteran’s Day, all.

I’m Angi. Let’s be friends!

Welcome to Lumber in my Minivan, a blog about adventures, (and sometimes MISadventures), in parenting, DIY, and home life. I’m a Christian, a wife, a mother of two daughters, a teacher, a southerner, an amateur farmer and woodworker, a coffee lover, and an animal lover. Life without music is pointless and outside is my favorite place to be. I’m so glad you stopped by- pour yourself a large cup of coffee, put your feet up, and stay awhile!

I’d love to connect with you!
