We are cruising head first down the hill to my summer vacation. The girls, who are in a different school system and a different schedule, have been out almost four weeks. I’m ready to be out of school with them.
This kid has taken up running and plans to try out for cross country this fall. As a rising sixth grader, she is looking forward to school this fall.
This little lady is a rising first grader and she is super excited!!
We have dropped two episodes of our podcast and we have greatly enjoyed recording them. I am looking forward to publishing more episodes soon.
Hi, all! I hope you are doing well and are in good health. We are all well and have been very busy!
We have three sitting hens at the moment, and currently have three baby chicks. We are also rehoming a rooster at the current moment since we really don’t need two of them.
We recently went to visit my grandmother before she moves back to WV. We had a great visit, and these two little stinkers took a nap on Mamaw’s couch.
I have unfortunately injured my shoulder and will be unable to lift weights for four weeks. Thankfully, it was not a more serious injury and I didn’t have to have any surgery.
The kids just got finished with their spring break. Those lucky ducks got to go shopping, bowling and got to hang out with both sets of grandparents.
I hope you all have a wonderful week! This week, we will share the following posts:
It’s been a bit since I made one of these posts. I just wanted to catch up and share some of the things we have been doing.
Our girls’ dance team had their first competition and they racked up! My oldest daughter’s trio and her duo both won first place and my youngest daughter’s duo also won first place.
I had two sweet running buddies this week- maybe the beginning of a new hobby? I kind of hope they do take up running with me.
We have finally reached the point where we had to add the sunshade to the greenhouse. It’s making a difference in our greenhouse getting too hot.
We have also been growing some veggies and flowers in our greenhouse. Next month we will be planting those plants in our raised beds.
We are also working on a few projects. I can’t wait to show them to you soon.
This week, I only posted once, because I had a lot happening at work and two members of our house came down with the stomach virus.
Sometimes you just need a break, you know?
Still, we had a lot of good things happen.
Our church had its annual valentines dinner and it was delicious. Look how pretty our church is at sunset (shot from the historic sanctuary on the hill).
Last week, we headed two hours west to my grandma’s house to celebrate her birthday with her. I’m not going to post her picture here out of respect to her, we saw some snow while we were there. We went out to lunch and had a blast.
We finally jumped on the air fryer bandwagon and bought an air fryer. We have enjoyed making delicious foods in it- my favorites were bacon, marinated barbecue chicken tenders, and a copycat Chick-fil-A sandwich with waffle fries. We haven’t eaten out all week. Yum!
Yummy goodness in an air fryer. Recipes soon!
We shored up our polytunnel and started our flower and veggie seeds. These will be planted in our garden at the end of April.
We hung these sweet Edison bulbs on our back porch last week. Our back porch is undergoing a bit of a transformation, so more about that later.
I cannot wait to show you what we have planned for this porch.
And lastly, a sweet friend of ours made us these shirts. Aren’t they awesome? Maybe some day we will sell merch.
