What can you make with

Pool noodles are ridiculously cheap, and you can find them almost anywhere. And while most of us use them to float in a pool, there are many other ways you can use them as well. In today’s Pinterest roundup, I’d like to share some creative ideas for repurposing pool noodles.

You can use them to make a cheap wreath form for a lot cheaper than a foam wreath form.

You can use them to make a footstool for your house, or a faux stone column, or pool noodle luminaries.

DIY Kate Spade Inspired Desk Boxes

DIY Kate Spade Inspired Desk Boxes

I have loved the Kate Spade office line since it came out, and I especially loved these cute storage boxes.

But I couldn’t see myself paying $54 for three cardboard boxes.

I had three shoeboxes at home from recent purchases.

I also picked up these items:

I quickly broke out that gold spray paint and I painted those shoe box lids.

I gave those bookplates a good spray, too.

Then, I painted the box bottoms black.

And when they dried, I taped them with painter’s tape where I wanted the gold stripes.

Then I sprayed away with that gold spray paint.

I then allowed the paint time to dry and peeled off the tape. I attached the bookplates.

How’s this for a designer dupe, folks?

Have a great week! Next week I’ll show you where I’m using these boxes.
