We have been to Dollywood before, and we loved it. We were anxious to go back and decided this time to check out Dollywood’s DreamMore resort. I’m so very glad we did!
First of all, the Christmas decorations were absolutely gorgeous. The hotel is beautiful anyway, but the decorations made it even more so.
Every afternoon, hot cider is served and there is usually some sort of musical entertainment at least once a day. We enjoyed a pianist, a violinist, and a ukulele player who played “Jingle Bells” and let the children join in with bells. Speaking of children, the resort has “Camp DW,” which features different kids’ activities and crafts. You can actually attend the events or pick up a “craft kit” to go. We enjoyed making smores by the fire pit with the elves and bedtime story time.
The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and there is a very nice outdoor pool for the summer. Fortunately, there is an indoor pool and an arcade for the cooler weather days too.
I spent some time in the fitness center, which is very nice! I didn’t get a picture though. There is also a gift shop, Pokeberry Lane, which sells a lot of Dolly and Dollywood themed items. You can grab some coffee, ice cream, fresh made pizza and pastries, and grab-and-go foods at the Pantry, or enjoy a delicious buffet meal at Song and Hearth.
You can also check out a mini-museum, featuring Dolly memorabilia, including her albums and some of her instruments.

The hotel as a whole is very clean and well-decorated. Our room had a king size bed and bunk beds, which our kids loved. The concierge and front desk people were very attentive and polite, as well.
Now that I’ve shared what I love about the property itself, let me tell you the perks of staying at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort. There is a trolley that runs regularly from the hotel to the park- you don’t have to pay $25 to park and you don’t have the long walk through the parking lot to your vehicle. The shops inside the park will also shuttle your packages to the hotel’s front desk for you. You also get a discount on your park tickets in which you can get a fast pass! Not all rides are fast pass eligible, but many of them are. You can also use your FastPass to get early entry/much better seats to one of the many shows in the Dollywood theaters. We very much enjoyed the show “Christmas in the Smokies!”
We really enjoyed our stay at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and we plan to return to stay there again. You should definitely check it out.
