If you have followed my blog for any length of time, you know about my obsession with typographical art. I’m also just a tiny bit obsessed with monogrammed things.
I recently used the Weddingchics website to print this monogram on a burlap sheet.
You can buy the burlap sheets at Walmart in packs of four for $5. The Weddingchics monogram download is free but copyrighted. It is available to you for personal use, though.
Did you know you can use your word processor to create a simple monogram that looks high end and elegant? I used several different fonts to get the look I wanted.
The letter B and the name “Boone” are in the Century Gothic font, with two lines drawn above and below the name. This font came free with my word processing software. The year “2009” is written in Bradley Hand, which was also already on our computer. The word “established” is in Brusher font, which I downloaded from freefonts.com.
I already had the frame so this project cost me absolutely nothing. I love a good free project!
Have a wonderful week! Here’s a look at what we are sharing this week on Organized and Simplified:
